The practical reasons I believe in the Bible and not the Quran is because of the differing perspectives on key theological concepts like the nature of God, Jesus, and the concept of salvation.
The Bible emphasizes the Trinity, while the Quran teaches unitarian monotheism, and the Bible's depiction of Jesus as divine and the Son of God differs from the Quran's view of Jesus as nothing more than a prophet, which is a problem for Muslims because a fundamental belief in Islam that prophets cannot lie. The Quran describes prophets as truthful and trustworthy messengers of God. Lying is considered a major sin in Islam, and a prophet, being chosen by God to guide humanity, is expected to embody the highest moral principles. Some Islamic scholars argue that certain statements by Prophet Abraham were not lies, but were either misunderstandings or specific strategies within a broader context of prophecy. This may have been true about Abraham, because he was as human as Muhammad, however Jesus who was divine said that He was the living truth, John 14:6 And as for Abraham, Jesus Himself declared - Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. John 8:58
Historically speaking at its earliest, the Quran was written 600 years after the New Testament, the youngest biblical text. The Quran was composed by Muhammad over a period of 23 years during the seventh century (609-632 A.D.) When he copied the parts he liked into a document called the Quran.
Finally In the Quran, a good man can be rewarded with heaven, by belief in God and good deeds for salvation. Specifically, the Quran states that those who believe and do good deeds will be rewarded, while those who disbelieve will face severe punishment, making any true Christian more than eligible for the kingdom that will come.
Message for the Muslim and anyone else not saved.
But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:8-13
